California Proposition 65
 
Thank you for your recent inquiry on General Cable’s compliance of the California Proposition 65 Regulations.
 
Revisions to Title 27, California Code of Regulations take effect on August 30, 2018 that require clear and reasonable Proposition 65 warnings on a variety of products.  Section 25600 General (b), Article 6 of Title 27 of the California Code of Regulations states that the warning can be provided prior to the August 30, 2018 deadline.  The regulation also states that a warning for a consumer product manufactured prior to August 30, 2018 is deemed to be clear and reasonable if it complies with the September 2008 regulations.  Therefore, General Cable’s bulk cable products manufactured prior to the August deadline will not be relabeled.  All General Cable products manufactured after August 30, 2018 will be labeled in accordance with the new Proposition 65 requirements.
