General Cable Rolls Out New GenSPEED® 5000 Cat 5e Cable for Outside Plant Applications
HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, KENTUCKY, July 11, 2005 – General Cable today introduced its new GenSPEED 5000 Outdoor cable. Suitable for nearly all outside plant applications, this cable can be directly buried in the ground, installed in ducts, or aerially lashed to a support messenger. It’s the ideal solution when connections need to be made from building to building, such as for portable classrooms and adjacent office buildings or for applications requiring cable be run in conduit under concrete slabs. GenSPEED 5000 outdoor cable is fully flooded and has a tough UVC and abrasion resistant jacket.
