Transit Cables

The transit cable roots of this enterprise trace back nearly a century to the days of overhead wires used in tramways, railways and later trolley buses. Through the years the respective divisions of the enterprise now known as General Cable were leaders in transit cable engineering innovation, from low-smoke zero-halogen cables for the London Underground to the introduction of the first ECP pneumatic brake cables for freight trains in the U.S.
