General Cable Joins Graybar’s epoint Incentive Awards Program for Voice and Data Contractors

Highland Heights, KY, April 05, 2002 - General Cable, a global supplier of communications cables and a major resource for high bandwidth voice, data and video applications, is pleased to announce its participation in the Graybar epoint Program. This is an innovative, web-based program that offers voice and data contractors the choice of more than 2,000 incentive awards for the purchase of featured products provided by participating manufacturers. Each quarter, a different selection of products will qualify to earn epoints.

As a selected manufacturer, General Cable will offer eligible contractors an opportunity to earn epoints at the time that they purchase our high performance cabling solutions, including enhanced Category 6 Command Linx® 6 and Category 5e Platinum Plus™ UTP cables from Graybar. In addition, but for a limited time only, General Cable will be awarding epoints on purchases of our standard Category 5e CMP.

"General Cable is excited about the opportunity to support Graybar with their program, while at the same time, reward our new and loyal contractors for purchasing and using our quality products," says Paul Ratcliffe, General Cable Product Manager.

To sign up for the program or to find out which products are eligible at any given time, contractors can go to the Graybar epoint web site at www.graybar-epoint.com or contact a Graybar sales representative. Contractors automatically accumulate epoints on qualified purchases once they have registered with the program.
