General Cable Introduces New Carol® Brand
Super Vu-Tron® Supreme
Take it to Extremes
HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, KENTUCKY, MARCH 26, 2007 — General Cable has announced its new line of Carol® Brand Super Vu-Tron® Supreme rubber cord. Available in Types SOOW and SJOOW, no cord performs like it because no cord is built like it. The cord’s proprietary, vulcanized jacket formulation make it virtually impossible to tear and provides the ultimate resistance to heat, cold, oil, ozone and chemicals. Super Vu-Tron Supreme can withstand temperature extremes from -50ºC all the way to +105ºC and perform flawlessly even in the toughest industrial environments. Super Vu-Tron® Supreme is tough enough to be warranted for life.
Super Vu-Tron Supreme offers Class M stranding on all constructions for maximum flexibility and tinned copper conductors for enhanced soldering performance and corrosion resistance. Its integral Flexfill® design allows the jacket to be extruded into the interstices of the cord instead of using a filler material. This provides a more compact cord, which enhances crush resistance, will not absorb water or oil, adds flexibility and makes it easy to strip for ease of handling. In addition, Integral Flexfill allows for a more consistent, convolution-free product appearance, which is often a major factor with standard rubber cord. The cord’s bright yellow jacket assures high visibility for safety and the jackets legend is permanent, helping to assure life-long, safe operation. And, the durable jacket is now printed with RoHS, sequential footage marking and CE Mark on 10 and 12 AWG SOOW. Super Vu-Tron Supreme also has a yellow stripe on the green conductor broadening its use with the European color code.
Super Vu-Tron Supreme is available with UL Types SOOW, SJOOW, is RoHS compliant, has CSA and MSHA approvals, and is suitable for applications where OSHA considerations need to be addressed.
